8.4Verified guest“The location is fantastic, right by the Duomo and other historic sites. We explored Florence on foot with our three kids and it was so easy! The nearby square was lively, and we enjoyed the peaceful feel of the hotel after a busy day.”
8.4Verified guest“The staff were efficient and friendly at all times, and they offered a good range of options for the continental breakfast.”
8.4Verified guest“The location is perfect, but the rest is pretty average. The staff are very attentive and helpful, though. I'm sure the location earns them good scores.”
8.4Verified guest“The room was nicely decorated and well-equipped, with a fantastic view of the Duomo. I felt comfortable there. The setting was amazing, right by the Duomo with shops, restaurants, and sights all around.”
8.4Verified guest“Overall a wonderful impression of the hotel. The main advantage is the location directly on Piazza del Duomo; the hotel occupies the two upper floors of the building next to the Loggia del Bigallo and has an internal staircase to the top floor. Other pluses are the pleasant interiors of all rooms, quality furniture, cleanliness, and comfort. The elevator is small but always available. Only some rooms overlook the Giotto Bell Tower, the Cathedral, and the Brunelleschi Dome; the rest face the courtyard. I was lucky to get the corner room 1401, named after the Florentine artist Bronzino, with one window facing the bell tower and cathedral and the other overlooking Via dei Calzaiuoli. It was a nice bonus, but for rooms 'with a view' the hotel informs you in advance there's an extra €30 per day, payable on arrival. Breakfast had croissants, buns, bread, yogurt, eggs, butter, jams, pastry, cheese, sausage, juices, milk, muesli, and coffee—plenty and all tasty. I want to thank the staff especially; communication was always pleasant, they cared for guests, and it made me feel at home. Since the power cuts out when you leave the room, it was cold in January when I returned from walks, but the air conditioning system with adjustable temperature warmed the room after a while. Bathroom towel dryers only come on in the morning and evening. The hotel's price is generally higher than other options, but that's understandable given the location and good service. A large Conad supermarket is relatively close near Piazza Gaetano Salvemini, and in Florence I always have lunch at the self-service café on Via dei Lamberti (open only during the day), opposite the Orsanmichele church, with very reasonable prices for the city.”
